Art Series

The art series is up on the official website, http://www.pittsburghhandmade.com. Last week, we interviewed a local illustration artist who does wonderful Pittsburgh themed travel posters. He is also using his talents for the annual Pittsburgh Grand Prix Poster. Check that out here.

This week we interviewed a local painter. After the loss of a beloved pet, she discovered doing pet portraits was her calling. She creates beautiful pictures for pet lovers and owners alike. Check them out here!

Website Launch

I have been pushed back but the official site pittsburghhandmade.com will be here in a few short days. What would you enjoy to see on the new site?

I am so excited to make this announcement and will update you when the site is finished.

Series Schedule

So I am trying to gauge interest in topics and would love to hear your feedback. I am beginning with cosmetics (with a slight slant into wellness). After I wrap that up, I wanted to focus on art for a while. Would it be beneficial to you, as readers, to learn about products all at once, or to do it in intermittently?

I would love to hear your thoughts as I develop a schedule of interviews. Also, what do you use the most and would love to find locally? I will find it for you, trust me!

Looking forward to the coming weeks!

Hang Tight!

Starting interviews this week and I am so excited! I am beginning with beauty and cosmetic products made here in Pittsburgh of course. I hope to collect as many interviews as possible and then after that series is over, I hope to proceed with an art series.

If you have anything you would like to know about before a series is over, contact me! I would love to hear your input. I will update each week with the progress and what is to come. This week, we will have a detailed article about an apothecary business from here in Pittsburgh. Stay tuned!

Welcome!

Meet Pittsburgh Homemade.
Pittsburgh Homemade is a project to promote local, green, and handmade projects for you, the buyer. A giant list of the who’s who and the what’s what of green products in Pittsburgh.

In the coming weeks, I will be locating and conducting interviews with local venders of local products. All things homemade and all things local. Come back soon and check it out!
